Atmos Energy provides natural gas for the City of Commerce. Industries can also contract for transportation gas. In addition, the CEDC assisted in the construction of a 4" gas line tested to 800 pounds pressure to serve the FM 3218 Industrial Park. Local Internet Providers DSL & high speed wireless internet is available through both Sprint and Koyote Communications. The non-profit Commerce Community Network (CCN) received a $500,000 Telecommunications Infrastructure (TIF) grant in 2000 to bring high speed internet service to Commerce. In partnership with Koyote Communications, the task has been accomplished. Further expansion is planned.
